  • Hired specialized, technical authors and negotiated fees; managed freelance author pool; recruited new freelancers; evaluated freelance author performance in conjunction with feedback from editorial and communicated feedback to freelancers.

  • Managed three-person editorial teams of project editors and editorial assistants; supervised their work.
  • Supervised book design, layout, and cover creation; ensured that books met age-appropriate reading levels and target markets.
  • Established and managed long-term licensor relationships; analyzed and improved production processes and licensor relations.
