KEVIN D. MILLER specializes in editing fiction of all kinds—including screenplays—but he has a particular fondness for science fiction and fantasy. "CAN YOU HEAR ME? TUNING IN

"Kevin is by far the greatest editor I have worked with. He expresses genuine concern for the writer's success which he demonstrates when he goes beyond the basics of an editor and takes on the roll of an instructor, guide, and motivator. You'll feel absolutely safe working with him."
— Connie V. Akpan
"Kevin is an editor who (rightly!) makes you do the hard work of manuscript improvement up to your own creativity limits. He does such a good job of showing you the way through example and suggestion that, when the final product (invariably) has deficiencies, the author singularly must own them, since Kevin superbly does his part in making (if possible!) the writing sparkle."
— Wayne Northey, author of "Chrysalis Crucible"
"Kevin Miller is the finest writer, editor, and educator on the planet. He gently instructed me throughout the creation of my book. Where I'd come up short, 'K' would be there to add structure and order to my organic style of writing. He's a pro." — Spencer Tillman, CBS Sports Analyst and author of &qupt;Scoring In the Red Zone"
"Kevin's editorial input into my non-fiction manuscript has been truly outstanding. He is not only very skillful, but brings dignity, insight, and human warmth to bear upon his work. It has been a real pleasure working with him." — Dr. Mitra Makbuleh, author of "The Mystery of Jewish Creativity: The Secret Light In Every Human Soul".
"Kevin is one of the finest writing instructors and editors I have come across since entering the field of writing. I have found none that are more honest, forthcoming, or caring. He has the ability to get right to the root of a writer's problems, and his unique insight covers the entire book, not just the simple errors. Kevin is reasonable and flexible, allowing the writer to make his or her own corrections, which is part of the learning process. It also saves the writer a lot of money! I recommend him to anyone who is starting out or who is already published. — Henry Yarghn, author of "Solice: Human Arrogance," "Heir," and the upcoming "Sun, Earth, and Moon"
"Kevin does an excellent job in both the editing and critiquing of your work... He offers valuable opinions and insightful advice. Highly recommended." — Val Gunn, author of "A Resonance of Shadows"

It is a mistaken notion that freelance editors work "on spec" (speculation) with no payment to the editor. It is basically asking the editor to work for free. There's no guarantee that a book will see a profit (or even be published). The editors posted here do not work on spec.
Note: Price quotes and time estimates for individual editors cannot be given over the phone or via chat. This is a network of freelance editors with varying prices and work schedules (see our FAQ). To obtain a price quote please follow the procedures listed on our quotes page.
Contact live support if you do not receive a response within three hours. It is possible that your submission was not received. You may also page the network coordinator by leaving voicemail or sending a fax to 469-789-3030.
Please be as complete as
possible in representing your project's scope and size so you will receive
the most accurate estimate.
Disclaimer: Your agreement, whether oral or written, is with your freelance editor / proofreader / writer, not with the freelance network as a whole or its coordinator.
